Installing new bending machines: two CNC Pipe Benders CH Series

Established in the 1970’s, AMOB UK’s newest customer is a premier supplier of a comprehensive range of metal pipe and tube fabricated products. Ranging from construction machinery to vacuum pumps, mining excavators to racing karts. Subsea equipment to the leisure industry. Their areas of expertise find applications across a diverse number of industry sectors, from prototyping to full production. As with many of our customers, the full details of their capabilities is a closely guarded trade-secret. As such, many customers request to stay anonymous. This project is one such example.

As with many customers, this client approached AMOB UK looking to replace and improve on older machines ready for retirement. These older machines had served them well in their time, but were ultimately outdated. As with many legacy machines, the concern over breakdowns and the availability of parts and service only grows over time.

Considering these concerns, it was essential to replace their outdated machines. By investing in newer technology, they are ensuring that they remain a market leader in their industry. A culture of continuous improvement that AMOB UK also strives to maintain.

Speed and consistency

Additionally, and as with many companies, an issue of key importance was not only speed, but also consistency. Efficiency is the driving force of a successful company, and crucial for running an effective operation at the highest levels. Over the course of two Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), AMOB UK identified room for improvement on the bends and adapted. After recognising key areas for enhancement, AMOB UK were able to improve on goal cycle times by up to 11%!

While not the most technical of applications, both AMOB and the client were keen to apply total focus during the project. By doing this we can achieve the best in what is possible, and ultimately serve both our respective customers with the greatest product.

With this machinery, the customer can continue to CNC bend tubes for use on heavy-duty engines, compressors, generators and much more. AMOB UK are very excited for what the future of this project holds, and our ongoing business relationship. With one of two machines fully installed, our attention is now fully on the second machine to be delivered in the very near future!
